Singer Biography
Aqsa had a passion for music since her childhood and has been performing in private family and friends’ gatherings. She started her music career in 2012 when she recorded her 1st single “Ainna akhian” at Albert Studios and then soon after, she was selected for “Albert Studios Compilation Album 1” and recorded this song “Aahatain” which is originally by an Indian band called “Agni”.
Aqsa likes Eastern Classical and Western Pop music, and her influences are artists like Iqbal Bano, Madam Noor Jahan, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Madonna, Tina Turner and Whitney Houston etc. Aqsa is a very multi talented girl and is also doing some modeling projects since 2012.

Sandaraa is a new band from Lahore, Pakistan and Brooklyn, New York. The group is fronted by vocalist Zeb Bangash (Zeb and Haniya) and features Brooklyn musicians Michael Winograd on clarinet, Eylem Basaldi on violin, Patrick Farrell on accordion, Yoshie Fruchter on guitar, Benjy Fox-Rosen on bass and drummer Richie Barshay. Sandaraa explores a vast repertoire of South Asian material (from Balochistan, Afghanistan and beyond,) while blending it with the sounds of Eastern Europe, the Balkans, and more. The group was founded in the fall of 2013, with the help of the Center for Traditional Music and Dance, and the MAP fund.
